As a loan originator with more than 18 years of experience, I have been helping buyers with their lending needs. I have owned my own mortgage brokerage firm for the last 15 years. I have extensive knowledge about programs for first time homebuyers, down payment assistance, tax credit programs, investment loan programs, rehab programs, and options for both purchase and refinance borrowers. I make it my personal goal to make sure my clients understand the entire process and that the product they select will make their investment a wise choice.
Originally from Virginia via Atlanta, Georgia, I moved to Denver in the mid 90’s. Since that time, I have enjoyed watching my children graduate from high school and college and now spend my time enjoying what Colorado has to offer. One of my favorite activities is country western couples dancing and sometimes I just can’t get enough of great country music! I also love to spend time with my family including my two grandsons Aiden and Harrison.
Working with my clients gives me great pleasure because I do all that I can to make sure they are happy with the choice they made for their loan. During the loan process, we strive to ensure that we meet contract deadlines and regularly communicate with all the parties in the transaction so everyone is aware of the progress of the loan. Real estate agents frequently comment on the high level of service I provide and appreciate my hands on approach.
The biggest compliment I get is the continual referrals and repeat business from past clients. It gives me a sense of personal satisfaction and joy to work with referrals and clients I have dealt with in the past and it inspires me to continue to strive to meet and exceed the expectations of everyone I work with now and in the future.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, but moved to Colorado in 1995. I attended Colorado State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. I found my way into the mortgage industry and have been originating loans for over 15 years
Having closed well over 1700 loans, I have a knowledge base that spans just about every loan program available. I think the thing that separates me from other loan officers is that I pride myself on leveraging my experience to do a thorough analysis on the front end that leaves very little work for my buyers later in the loan process. This tends to lead to a smoother and faster loan process.
I spend my spare time with my wife Caroline and our two sons Aiden and Harrison. When I’m not at home with them you can usually find me on one of Colorado’s many great trout streams tossing one of my homemade flys around.
It is my goal to create a transaction that is smooth and stress free, leaving my clients thinking of me for their future mortgage needs.

For over 12 years, Barb has processed Conventional, FHA and VA mortgage transactions. She is also a proactive communicator and prides herself on friendly personal customer service. Barb ensures that our customers and real estate partners receive pleasant and consistent home financing experiences.
In 2009, Barbara obtained her Colorado Mortgage Brokers license. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Barb resides in Austin, TX with her husband, Todd. Barbara enjoys spending time with her five nieces, road trips in and around the Colorado Rockies, exploring her new home in Austin, TX and sharing batches of her latest homemade wines with friends and family.

A Colorado native with her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado, Christie is one of Uptown Mortgage’s newest loan officers. Prior to entering the mortgage industry she worked as an elementary school teacher for Jefferson County Schools. She has been working with Uptown since 2013.
As a licensed mortgage broker Christie’s infectious personality and desire to understand peoples’ needs lends itself perfectly to her job of helping all her borrowers make an intelligent decision when it comes to choosing the right mortgage. She enjoys each opportunity to interact with people and assist them in the exciting (and sometimes scary) process of purchasing a home.
A spirit of adventure has always motivated her and in her free time she loves exploring the Colorado outdoors with her dogs and husband.
